Central Station

Amsterdam Central Station is the central train station of Amsterdam. It was built from 1881 to 1889 and designed by P.J.H. Cuypers, A.L. van Gendt and L.J. Eijmer.

Anne Frank

Anne Frank was a Jewish girl who had to hide during World War Two to escape from the Nazis. Together with seven others she had to go hiding in the Prinsengracht 263 in Amsterdam. On August 4 of 1944, after more than 2 years of hiding, she was discovered and deported to concentration camps. Anne’s father, Otto Frank, is the only one of the eight people who survived. After her death Anne became world famous because of the diary she wrote while in hiding.
